Someone else's unique perspective is priceless. I only know how to be Jennifer Klimoski, that's it. I know what I like - that's great when I'm redboxing it but when it comes to design it means a whole lot'a nothing. Working with awesomeness is the only way to pump up my awesomeness, so "Do I play nice with others"? Indeed I do. Oh and I come from a family of eight, I was born doing team work!
Celebrating the fifth year anniversary of you asking me this question. I plan on getting my masters, starting my own design firm that focuses on helping small businesses kick-ass in branding! Speaking of kicking ... I have been kickboxing for over 3 years and I will compete in legit Kickboxing fight one day! No more of these behind the bar smokers! In five years I hope I'm better, a better designer, mother, wife, person. Just better.
This is going to sound like one of those "weaknesses" where I secretly slip in how awesome I am but trust me, it's a weakness. I get really attached to my work, like projects are my design manifested children divinely conceived by an iMan ... not really ... but it does sting when someone doesn't kick their shoes off in a fit of joy after seeing my first draft. Don't you worry, I take all that frustration out with my number one hobby. Boxing.
Star Wars, 100%, all the way! It's not because in a handsome contest Han Solo beats Captain Kirk every time. It's not becuase of the adorable robots, the love triangle, or even the breath holding presence of Darth Vadar. Its the resistance of it all! Standing up for what's right, following your heart, sticking it to "the man" Pretty sure The Federation is "the man" in 2161... ¡Viva la Revolución!
I'm sticking it to apple for saying its dead. JK. When I work in flash I make information come alive, I make it interactive and exciting. I MAKE IT AWESOME. Not everyone can learn in front of a text book that weighs more than a small child, I know, I'm one of them. It's time to make learning personal. It's time to make it interactive. It's time to make it AWESOME.
I don't "like" anything, it's LOVE or nothing!
In no particular order - Star Wars Jokes, The Bard, Batman, Robots, Chips, #5b2c55, Joss Whedon, Ninjas (I have been called Ninjafur on occasion), Eddie Izzard, BSG, Banksy, sonic screwdrivers, and Dr. Pepper. More than all of that combined, I love Mr. Klimoski!
